During a long hard search to find some thing to allow tub soaking I looked at walk in tubs, walk in showers , cradle systems and many more types. I decided since my health is getting gradually worse and that I may have to move closer to family, or nusing home. I have realized all those options, while good each of them requires a substantial chunk of change and more than I can afford to do, on medicare and a pension without dropping any activities I enjoy. I had looked at a tub lift chair briefly and decided to give it a closer look. After comparing several different chairs, I picked the Mediwares Electric Bath Lift chair for its price and the people that work there. So far I'm pleased with the chair and job its doing, I like every thing about its operation, with 1 exception. I may just be weaker now but 23 lbs feels a bit heavier, as weak as I am, I can lift it one handed with effort. Next time I move it, I'll put some cloth under the suction cups so they don't grab until I'm ready for them to. It suprised me how much energy I was expending bathing and washing my hair, took two sessions a day apart to have energy. I GUARANTEE YOU WON'T BE SORRY, I'm not.
