Mediwares Portable Ophthalmoscope Handheld Eye Examination Tool for Vision & Eye Exams

Picked this up during my residency because I needed something I could carry between floors without thinking about it. Two years later it's still the one I reach for first. Battery life has held up better than I expected given how often I use it.

The light is clean and white without that yellow cast my older halogen unit had. Makes a real difference when you're trying to assess disc color. My only small complaint is that the carrying case is a bit snug once you add spare batteries.

I do home visits and space in my bag is always tight. This fits alongside my BP cuff and otoscope with room left over. Nothing has rattled loose or gone out of alignment after about eight months of daily transport.
